UCF Concrete Plant Tour 2025

Join us for an exclusive tour of some of the largest concrete plants in Central Florida! This is a unique opportunity to see firsthand how these facilities operate and manage large-scale projects like hotels, apartments, and parking garages.

Our hosts include Dr. Hae-Bum “Andrew” Yun, Mr. Diep Tu, Mr. Ricardo Portillo Gonzalez, and other experienced industry professionals who will share their expertise and insights. Don't miss this chance to expand your knowledge and network with leaders in the field!

All attendees must wear long pants and closed-toe shoes—no exceptions. Anyone not in compliance will not be allowed on the bus.

Before boarding, we will provide vests and hard hats, which must be worn throughout the visit.

For lunch, we will be catering from Panera, with pickup available at the end of the FINFROCK tour. Before reboarding the bus to UCF, attendees will return their vests and hard hats in exchange for their meal. A cooler with iced bottled water will be available.

UCF STUDENT PLANT VISIT SCHEDULE

  • 7:30 AM - Meeting Curbside UCF ENG II

  • 8:00 AM - Departing to FDOT District 5

  • 8:30 AM - 9:15 AM - District 5 Oviedo Operation

  • 9:30 AM - Departing to CEMEX

  • 9:45 AM - 11:00 AM - CEMEX Ready-Mixed Concrete Plant

  • 11:15 AM - Departing to FINFROCK (Lunch on Bus)

  • 12:00 PM - 1:15 PM - FINFROCK Prestressed Concrete Plant

  • 1:30 PM - Heading Back to UCF

  • 2:15 PM - Back to UCF ENG II
